Fahamu Tutor was started by Bonga Mngadi, a South African who believes every learner can pass, whatever school they're in and whatever language they speak at home.

It's a personal tutor on WhatsApp that is there at 2 a.m. before an exam: it explains from the basics, in the learner's own language, by voice note or a phone call, marks their working and goes through real past papers with them.

It is self-funded. There are no investors: every server and every AI answer is paid out of pocket, so that a learner in a village gets the same help as anyone. That only lasts with help.

R99 gives one learner a week

A week of Fahamu Plus: voice notes in their language, calls, past papers and marking. Every R99 you give becomes one sponsored week for a learner who can't pay.

Fahamu is not a registered public benefit organisation, so donations don't come with a tax certificate. Every rand goes to running the tutor for learners.
